We are seeking a highly motivated and experienced freelancer to work remotely with our team as a Geophysical Data Processing Specialist, with a focus on MBES (Multibeam Echo Sounder) and SSS (Side Scan Sonar) data. In this role, you will be responsible for processing and interpreting large volumes of geophysical data, providing valuable insights into the subsurface environment.

Key Responsibilities:

• Process and interpret MBES and SSS data using industry-standard software.
• Conduct quality control checks and data validation to ensure accuracy and completeness.
• Work closely with geophysicists and other stakeholders to deliver interpretive products that meet project requirements.
• Collaborate with cross-functional teams to identify and resolve data processing issues.
• Keep up-to-date with emerging technologies and methodologies in the field of geophysical data processing

Requirements:

• Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Geophysics, Oceanography, or a related field
• Minimum of 3 years of experience in geophysical data processing, with a focus on MBES and SSS data
• Strong skills in using industry-standard software for geophysical data processing and interpretation.
• Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills.
• Strong English communication skills and ability to work in a team environment.
